Okahirongo River Camp is situated on the banks of the Kunene River and in the remote Marienfluss Valley of north-western Namibia's Kaokoland.
Okahirongo River Camp can accommodate up to 14 guests and is built on high hills overlooking the Otupambua Rapids and spectacular landscapes of the area.
The main complex at Okahirongo River Camp has been constructed right at the top of the rapids. It has 2 lounges, a library, curio shop and a dining room with fabulous views of the river. Centrally located here is the swimming pool, and the spacious, beautiful sun deck is a great spot to relax and unwind.
Accommodation at Okahirongo River Camp is in 5 double luxury tents, or a family villa that has 2 double rooms. All of the rooms have inside and outside showers and a huge viewing deck overlooking the Kunene River.
Activities at Okahirongo River Camp include morning and afternoon nature drives into the mountains and dune area, boat cruises with great birding opportunities and guided walks. A visit to a local Himba village is highly recommended as this will give guests the insight of the way of life of these intriguing nomadic people.
